Editorial standards
Answer Patch publishes blog posts and product pages under named editorial rules: human bylines when a person is identified, primary sources for facts, honest modification dates, and a public path to request a correction. We do not invent authors, quotes, or awards.

Named authors
When a person writes a piece, we name them. When an author profile exists, the byline links to it. Some posts still use an Answer Patch Team byline because we have not published named author pages yet. We will not invent a founder, a guest writer, or a job title to look more established. Schema follows the visible byline: a named person is a Person entity; a team byline stays the Organization. These rules apply to the blog and to public product pages such as this one.
Primary sources
Facts about crawlers, schema, and AI search need a primary source we can point to — vendor documentation, a named study, or something we observed in our own product. If we cannot show the source, we do not state the claim as fact. We do not invent customer quotes, reviewer blurbs, or awards, and we do not attribute words to real people unless those words are on a public record we can cite.
Honest modification dates
Blog posts show a publish date. An Updated line and Article dateModified appear only when the content actually changed. We do not bump dates to look fresh. A review that does not change the copy is not a modification, and we do not treat it as one in schema.
Corrections
If a page is wrong, email support@answerpatch.com with the URL and what should change. We review every request. When we correct a live page, we update the copy; a substantive change also updates the modification date. We do not keep a separate public corrections archive — this page is the pointer.
What we will not claim
We do not fabricate testimonials, certification badges we do not hold, traffic results, or citation guarantees. Product copy describes the scan and the Fix Report as they work today. Evergreen posts get a real edit when the underlying facts change, not a scheduled date bump.
