1. What Answer Patch is
Answer Patch LLC ("Answer Patch," "we," "us," "our") runs a free AI Search Readiness scan of a website you submit, and sells a one-time, $19 "Fix Report" that turns that scan into specific, exact edits (copy, structured data, and an action plan) intended to make a site more legible to AI-assisted search and answer engines. By using answerpatch.com (the "Service") you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts
The free scan does not require an account. Creating an account (to view a library of past reports, for example) is handled through our authentication provider, Clerk. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. We do not permanently ("hard") delete accounts; closing an account soft-deletes it and stops it from being used to sign in.
3. Payment
The Fix Report is a single, one-time purchase — it is not a subscription and does not auto-renew. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number. See our Refund Policy for what happens if a report is degraded or unsatisfactory.
4. AI-generated content
Sections of the Fix Report are produced with the assistance of AI models and are clearly labeled as such — see our AI Disclosure. AI-drafted copy and structured-data suggestions are a starting point, not verified fact; you are responsible for reviewing and confirming any claim, price, address, hour, or credential before publishing it to your own site.
5. No outcome guarantee
We do not control, and cannot guarantee, how any third-party search engine or AI system (including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, or Copilot) ranks, cites, or summarizes your site after you apply our recommendations. Nothing in the Service is a promise of increased traffic, rankings, or citations.
6. Acceptable use
Don't submit a domain you do not own or have permission to scan, don't use the Service to scrape, resell, or bulk-automate report generation outside normal use, and don't attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the Service. We may suspend access for abuse, including automated or excessive free-scan requests.
7. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to your own website and its content. We grant you a license to use the Fix Report — including any copy, JSON-LD, or checklist it contains — on your own site. The Answer Patch product, scoring methodology, and report design remain our property.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Answer Patch is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its recommendations. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Fix Report giving rise to the claim.
9. Governing law
Answer Patch LLC is organized in California, USA. These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
